Once you are placed on the surgical waitlist, you will go through the Presurgical Screening Process administered by the East Kootenay Regional Hospital. This may involve a consultation with the Anesthesiologist. You will be contacted by the physiotherapy team as well

When you are deemed medically fit for surgery, you will be contacted by the OR Booking department at EKRH when a surgical date becomes available

When your surgical date is booked, our office will contact you to arrange a review appointment with Dr Vaile, in person or by phone

Hip and knee replacement patients will require an updated x-ray if the previous is older than 6 months
