Please include nonoperative treatments tried and ensure patients being referred for arthroplasty have trialed nonoperative treatment

Dr Vaile specializes in hip and knee arthroplasty as well as general orthopaedics

Unfortunately we are unable to offer hip arthroscopy, unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, or THA through the direct anterior approach (DAA) at this time

​

We are currently accepting referrals with a shorter wait time for smaller procedures such as hardware removal, carpal tunnel release, hallux valgus correction, rotator cuff repair

We understand that current wait times for consultation can be very challenging for patients. For those awaiting consult for arthroplasty, please ensure they have maximized non-operative management to prevent delays to surgery. Surgical optimization can also be addressed while awaiting consult. This includes targets such as HgbA1c <7.5%, BMI <40, smoking cessation
